Itinerary:
Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BALIKPAPAN –
LOA JANAN – MAHAKAM RIVER
Meet at airport and directly transfer to Loa Janan
for boarding the houseboat to start the exciting
adventure of Mahakam River. Lunch, dinner and
overnight on houseboat. (L,D)
Day 02: MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG –
TANJUNG ISUY – MAHAKAM RIVER
Arrive at Muara Muntai and sightseeing villagers
daily activities from the long wooden bridge which
is made of iron wood, and then proceed to Mancong by
motorized canoe crossing the Jempang Lake of which
we will have the opportunity to view many migratory
water bird species and fishermen floating houses as
well as the romantic Ohong River where proboscis
monkeys, monitor lizards and other wild animals are
hanging around at riverside. In Mancong, we will
explore an exotic longhouse and Benuaq Dayak daily
life. Next, proceed to Tanjung Isuy for watching
hundred colorful dress dancers that welcome you with
an impressive attraction in front of their
longhouse. Afterwards, return to houseboat for
cruising downward the Mahakam River. Lunch will be
served en route, dinner and overnight on houseboat.

Day 03: LEQAK KIDAU – TENGGARONG
– BALIKPAPAN
After breakfast, visiting the Kenyah Dayak village
to meet remains long ears woman with tattoos on
their skin. Next, return to houseboat for cruising
downward the Mahakam River, a stop will be made at
Tenggarong for exploring the King Collection on the
Museum of Mulawarman and Royal Cemetery of Kutai
Kartanegara kingdom. Afterwards, cruise downward to
Loa Janan and directly transfer by private AC land
transportation to Balikpapan for overnight on hotel.

Day 04: BALIKPAPAN – BANJARMASIN
Breakfast at hotel and free at own leisure till the
proper time for transferring you to airport for
flight to Banjarmasin.
Arrive at Banjarmasin airport and directly transfer
to hotel for check in. Next, exploring Banjarese
river civilization by taking an afternoon canal
sightseeing. Afterwards, return to hotel for
overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 05: FLOATING MARKET –
PANGKALAN BUN – TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning, we will leave to floating
market for exploring the unique culture of Banjarese
that trade commodities from boat to boat, then
return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while
sightseeing people activities at riverside, free at
your own leisure till the proper time for
transferring to airport for your flight to Pangkalan
Bun.
Arrive at Pangkalan Bun airport and directly
transfer to Kumai sub-district for boarding the
houseboat to Tanjung Puting National Park. The
houseboat is a traditional wooden river boat about
6m by 2m with a roof forms the upper deck where you
can view the rainforest as it glides by. The boat
crew including the boatman, cook and expert guide.
In the peaceful afternoon, we will slowly explore
the quite river by the houseboat while observing the
primates along the riverside. Overnight and dining
on houseboat, with facilities; thin mattress,
pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water,
mosquito net, kitchen, and simple toilet available
on boat besides the familiar helpful guides and
boatmen. (B,L,D)
Day 06: TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL
PARK
After breakfast, we will board the houseboat for
cruising upward to Pondok Tanguy to explore the
rehabilitation center of the new ex-captive
orangutans. Next, return to houseboat for sailing
upward the creek to Camp Leakey where the older
orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. At
this station, you will have opportunity to trek into
the rainforest with your expert guide and forest
rangers to appreciate the flora as well as viewing
wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch
will be served on houseboat. In the afternoon, we
will visit the feeding station to see rehabilitated
orangutans are given additional foods. We will then
sail back down the river and overnight on houseboat.

Day 07: TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL
PARK – DEPARTURE
Return to Kumai district by boat then transfer to
Pangkalan Bun airport for your next destination. (B)
