Itinerary:
Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BALIKPAPAN – LOA JANAN – MUARA
MUNTAI
Meet at airport and directly transfer to Loa Janan
for boarding the houseboat to start the exciting
adventure of Mahakam River. Lunch, dinner and
overnight on houseboat. (L,D)
Day 02: MUARA MUNTAI – MANCONG –
MUARA PAHU
Arrive at Muara Muntai and sightseeing villagers
daily activities from the long wooden bridge which
is made of iron wood. Next, proceed to Mancong by
motorized canoe crossing the Jempang Lake of which
we will have the opportunity to view many migratory
water bird species and fishermen floating houses as
well as the romantic Ohong River where proboscis
monkeys, monitor lizards and other wild animals are
hanging around at riverside. In Mancong, we will
explore an exotic longhouse and Benuaq Dayak daily
life and watching colorful dress dancers that
welcome you with an impressive attraction in front
of their longhouse. Afterwards, return tgo houseboat
for cruising upward to Muara Pahu. Lunch will be
served en route, dinner and overnight on houseboat.

Day 03: MUARA PAHU – BOLOWAN
RIVER – MELAK
Proceed to visit the information center of RASI
(Rare Aquatic Species of Indonesia) to dig more
information about the unique of fresh water dolphin
of the area and then continue our trip by boating on
Kedang Pahu River for spotting the fresh water
dolphin. Next, cruising up the Bolowan River to
explore wildlife and the daily life of Dayak people
who live on the riverside. Afterwards, return to
houseboat for cruising upward to Melak. Lunch,
dinner and overnight on houseboat. (B,L,D)
Day 04: MELAK – EHENG – KERSIK
LUWEY – LEKAQ KIDAU
Arrive at Melak and directly transfer to Eheng
village for visiting an old and impressive longhouse
with its unique ornament and shape while exploring
the Tunjung Dayak daily life. Next, we will drive to
Kersik Luwey reserve for observing the rare black
orchid and other flora on the zone. Afterwards
return to houseboat for cruising downward the
Mahakam River. Lunch will be served en route, dinner
and overnight on houseboat. (B,L,D)
Day 05: LEKAQ KIDAU – TENGGARONG
– BALIKPAPAN
After breakfast, visiting the Kenyah Dayak village
to meet remains long ears woman with tattoos on
their skin. Next, return to houseboat for cruising
downward the Mahakam River, a stop will be made at
Tenggarong for exploring the King Collection on the
Museum of Mulawarman and Royal Cemetery of Kutai
Kartanegara kingdom. Afterwards, cruise downward to
Loa Janan and directly transfer by private AC land
transportation to Balikpapan for overnight on hotel.

Day 06: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel and free at your own leisure till
the proper time for transferring to airport for your
next destination. (B)
